The sailing yacht Diosa Maat, of Ecologistas en Acción, stops at Yacht Port Cartagena during its navigation along the Mediterranean fighting the mass of garbage in the sea.

The Azul Oscuro Casi Plástico project, through workshops, conferences and other activities tries to raise awareness about the serious environmental problem caused by the proliferation of marine garbage in the Mediterranean, especially plastics, because according to Ecologistas en Acción, “every hour we pour to the sea 675,000 kilos of garbage. Of these, between 60 and 70% are plastic material that takes up to 500 years to decompose by the action of sunlight and contact with oxygen, and that never really disappears. ”

From July 20th to October, with 10 stops from Cadiz to Valencia, the Diosa Maat sails in order to raise awareness of the dangers caused by these wastes, since according to the European Environment Agency 70 % of the trash sits on the seabed hidden from our eyes.

From Yacht Port Cartagena, committed to CSR, we encourage you to start consuming responsibly and sustainable.
